The Hummingbird Center for Common Ground

A Place to Gather, Re-Imagine, and Design what is Just, Sacred, and Whole

Berlin, Vermont

The spirit of Healing transcends the individual to involve the whole community.” ~ Wendell Berry

OUR NAME: Named to honor a tiny jeweled bird, The Hummingbird Center is an intimate gathering place with a stunning lookout to the valley, mountains, and big sky of the Dog River Valley.

VISION: To create health and belonging through a density of connection, people gather to re-imagine their callings in the world, build community, and help cultivate a sacred, just and ecological future.

MISSION: We offer a gathering space for reflection, dialogue, convivial learning, and creativity to generate connection, care, and healing with ourselves, each other, and the places we call home.

We welcome people from multiple cultures and spiritualities as well as those who are change-makers, educators, contemplatives, social healers, movement builders, health-care workers, and also artists who are engaged in music, movement, spoken, written and visual arts.
We also offer Interfaith Spiritual Care with those in need.

The lookout from the Center and grounds provides space for:

Inter-cultural Dialogue, Deep Reflection, Spiritual Care

Conviviality, Creativity and Engaged Action

Experiential Workshops and Presentations

Imagination, Ritual, Art and Celebration
